Dr. Ganlin Xu, Ph.D.
Vice President of Research & Development

Ganlin Xu designs and develops software and systems for GuidedChoice. He has extensive experience in product engineering and information technology. Working closely with Harry Markowitz, Ph.D., Dr. Xu is the research lead on the team of experts in finance, economics, and mathematics responsible for our financial methodology.

Prior to joining GuidedChoice, Dr. Xu worked for Daiwa Securities Trust Company, a brokerage firm, where he conceived and developed several quantitative investment models and tools. One such model, a quantitative equity portfolio selection system, was developed under the directorship of Dr. Markowitz, and has been used worldwide as a money management system since 1991.
